With the Big Rock 2023 coming to a close, we thought we'd unpack some of the biggest and baddest offshore sportfishing tournaments to date - with payouts just getting bigger and better.

The 2022 tournament dispersed $8.6 million in prize money.

  2. The Bisbee's Black and Blue Marlin Tournament: The Bisbee's Black and Blue Marlin Tournament is held annually in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and is known for its massive cash prizes. This tournament attracts some of the best anglers in the world, who compete to catch the biggest black and blue marlin.

The Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament: The Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament is held annually in Morehead City, North Carolina, and is one of the most prestigious fishing tournaments in the United States. Anglers compete to catch the biggest blue marlin, with millions of dollars in prize money up for grabs. The 2023 total prize money equaled $5.8 million.

The Hatteras Village Offshore Open: The Hatteras Village Offshore Open is held annually in Hatteras, North Carolina, and is known for its impressive catches of tuna, wahoo, mahi-mahi, and other gamefish. This tournament attracts anglers from all over the country and offers substantial cash prizes.

  5. The Mid-Atlantic $500,000: The Mid-Atlantic $500,000 is held annually in Cape May, New Jersey, and Ocean City, Maryland. This tournament offers a chance to catch a variety of different species, including tuna, marlin, and wahoo, with a grand prize of $500,000 up for grabs.
