The White Marlin Open – the biggest billfish tournament in the world – is always a highlight of the year, but 2025 brought an extra reason to celebrate. Our longtime customer Billfisher took home the win with a massive 72-pound white marlin… caught on none other than RodsbyDru custom rods.

Standing dockside on Harbour Island on Wednesday, we watched the weigh-in unfold. Their 72 pound white marlin, worth a staggering $4 million, was more than a tournament win; it was a testament to the skill of the Billfisher team and the performance of their tackle. We held our breath hoping their fish would hold through Sunday evening, and it did! Seeing our rods in action at that level is something we won't forget.
