The Royal Mariner world tour starts now 🌎 This rod - crafted with shipwreck silver from the Atocha vessel, electric blue sapphires, purple heart wood from the deepest part of the Darien jungle, and abalone shell from the ocean floor - will travel across the globe for showcase events… UNTIL someone gives the rod a permanent home.

100% of the proceeds will go to Future Minds Foundation, a US based 501C3 supporting the people of Piñas Bay, Panama with education programs and waste management projects 🇵🇦

A collaboration between RodsbyDru and @amici.gold Cornelius uses a technique called cuttlefish casting. This ancient method uses the natural bone of the cuttlefish to form molds, imparting each piece with organic textures and patterns that cannot be duplicated. He then sets almost 2 carats of vivid blue sapphires into the silver rings, resulting in a striking finish for the rod 💎

He wanted a refresher on the components of his build and we were able to track down the record for “Pole Setter!” - race car driver Rick Mears’ boat! There’s nothing better than hearing the stories, the decades of memories, and the fish these rods have battled along the way. Built to last! 🐟

We had the awesome opportunity to build a custom splatter rod worthy of the spotlight for the @aftco photoshoot in Wedgeport 📸 Huge thanks to @keenmanthony, @jacquard.eric, and the crew for including us in such a cool project. We had the chance to use our rods to catch giant bluefin tuna with Anthony in Canada a couple years ago and there’s nothing that comes close!
